Bathurst - Raymond Roy, 85, of East Bathurst, passed away on Thursday October 15, 2020, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Alonzo and Rose Anna (Thériault) Roy. 

He was a teacher for most of his life, retiring as Principal of Academie Assomption.  

He is survived by two brothers:  Aurèle Roy of Bathurst and  Orven Roy of Fredericton. 

Two sisters-in-law: Denis Roy of New Richmond, QC and  Lydia Roy of Toronto, ON. 

Several nieces and nephews. 

He was pre-deceased by two brothers: Hylaire and Lawrence. 

Due to current pandemic, there will be no visitations at the funeral home. A family gathering will be held at a later date.  

The family would like to thank the staff at Foyer Chez Monik for the excellent care and compassion shown to Raymond.
