It is with profound sadness that we the family announce the death of Léo Bertin, husband to Thelma (Comeau) Bertin of Beresford, which occurred Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 74.
Born in Nicholas Denys, he was the son of the late Albert and Ovéline (Boudreau) Bertin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Marc (Sophie Lagacé). His beloved granddaughter, Camille and her mother, Mylène Lagacé, Renelle Lagacé-Roy (daughter of Sophie Lagacé).
His brothers: Raymond (Doris) and Victor (Paula).
His sisters: Marie (late Denis Cormier), Albertine (late Victorin Tardif), Jeannine (Jean-Guy Frenette), Viola (Michel Perron) and Évangeline (Réjean Haché).
Brother-in-law, Éric Doucet (late Fernande).
Sisters-in-law: Marie-Ange (late Alban), Marie-Ange (late Livain) and Aurella (late Louis).
Several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Steven; brothers: Livain, Alban, Louis and a sister, Fernande.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the excellent care given to Léo.
There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home. A private Funeral by invitation will be celebrated from Holy Name of Jesus Church in Beresford. Donations in memory of Léo may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfhertiage.com) in Beresford.
