Bathurst – Janice Good, 64, formerly of Stonehaven, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2021, at the Foyer Notre Dame-de-Lourdes in Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, Janice was the daughter of Frances (Dempsey) Good and the late Frederick Good.

Besides her mother of Stonehaven, she is survived by one brother, David Good (Kipani) of Bathurst and one sister Jean Embleton (Birt Stevens) of Fredericton, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her father she was predeceased by her brother Ernest in 2015.

Janice was a very special person, beloved by her family and friends alike. She will be remembered for her infectious laughter, her generous hugs, her amazing memory (she seldom forgot a name or a face), and her wonderful sense of humour. She cherished her friends, loved to be taken on trips and outings, and absolutely adored country music, especially her idol Al Hebert’s Country Gold show, which she never missed.

Janice’s family would like to thank the many dedicated and loving caregivers who brightened her home life over the years, the doctors who cared for her many needs, the staff of the 4th floor at the Chaleur Regional Hospital and Wing B at the Foyer Notre Dame-de-Lourdes, and the Bathurst Extramural Hospital and the Department of Social Development.

The family will receive relatives at friends at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, on Friday, May 7, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Visitation is open to the public with all covid regulations in place.

Funeral service will be held at Christ Church, Clifton, on Monday, May 10th, 2021 by invitation only.

Donations in memory of Janice may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
