Moncton – Mrs. Lottie Viva Ann (Knowles) Hinton, 97, wife of the late Elmer Hinton, formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Saturday July 10, 2021 at the Briarlea Nursing Home in Moncton.

Born in Clifton, she was the daughter of the late Lyndon and Margaret (Breckenridge) Knowles.

She is survived by two sons: Glynn (Krista) of Baltimore, ON and Lynn of Bathurst.

Two daughters: Nancy Hallett (Brent) of Florenceville, N.B. and Susan Godin (Robert) of Moncton.

Four grandchildren: Julie, Elizabeth, Gavin and MacKenzie; one great-grandchild: Cooper.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by brothers, Richard, Charles, Harvey, Winston, Robert L., James, Reginald and a sister, Beulah.

The body will rest Wednesday July 21st 2021 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the First United Church, 309 St. Patrick St., Bathurst, where the funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. by invitation only. Social distancing will be place and masks are mandatory. 

Donations in memory of Viva may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
