Gerald William Mitton husband of Sherry P. (Jagoe) Mitton of Bathurst passed away Wednesday August 4, 2021 at the Foyer Notre Dames-de-Lourdes at the age of 75.

Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Donald B. and Claire N. (Elliot) Mitton.

Besides his wife of Bathurst, he is survived by his children: Douglas W. (Rachel) of Moncton and Trudy Ann (Malcolm) Flowers of Morden, MB and one granddaughter, Ava Caroline Mitton. Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Donald J. Mitton.

Gerald was a member of the First United Church, Lodge St. John #27, F & AM, Luxor Shriner’s, North Shore Shrine Club, Order of the Eastern Star, Lady Alexander Chapter #24, OES and Past Patron of the former Bathurst Chapter #22, OES.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held in Highland View Cemetery, Bridge St, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Gerald may be made to the Shriner’s Transportation fund, First United Church, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
