Bathurst-Maurice Salesse, husband of Mélita (Roy) Salesse of Chamberlain Settlement passed away Sunday October 31st, 2021 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 73.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Edgar Salesse and Célina Vienneau.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Michel Chamberlain (Cindy) and Micheline Gionet both of Chamberlain Settlement and Marco Gionet (Annie) of Saint-Anne, Gloucester Co.

Six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

His brothers and sisters: Robert Salesse (Paulette) of Sherbrooke, Qc, Francine Salesse of Chamberlain Settlement, Darlene Labonville (John) of North Tetagouche, Leah Doucet (Gilbert) and Lisa Guignard (Eugène) both of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, Sergeant Mark Salesse and an infant daughter, Micheline Yvonne.

Maurice retired after working as a delivery agent for Northern Furniture.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 5th at 11 a.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Proof of double vaccination, a government issued ID and masks are required.

Donations in memory of Maurice may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
