Bathurst - Mrs. Marion Jenks, wife of Ken Jenks, formerly of Youghall Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Monday November 29, 2021, at the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit, Bathurst, at the age of 78.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Anderson) Brown.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three children:  Bradley (Darleen Dobson) and Debbie Jenks, both of Bathurst and Wendy Arbour (Chris) of Rothsay, NB.

Seven grandchildren: Amanda, Scott, Josh, Jacob, Tori, Laetitia, Nathanael; two great-grandchildren: Lilly and Kip.

Two brothers: Eric Brown (Judy) of Ontario and Dale Brown (Bonnie) of Bathurst.

Two sisters: Phyllis Branch (Harper) of Janeville and Helen Minde of Ponoka, AB.

Several nieces and nephews.

Marion was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had the biggest heart. There's no doubt that she loved her family, her friends and the Lord. She was a longtime member of St. Luke's Presbyterian church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She loved to sing. Every year she would call us to sing "Happy Birthday". She was always there to lend a helping hand and would drop everything in a second to help someone in need. She also had a tender heart towards those who were hurting. She was the most kind and loving woman and will forever hold a special place in all of our hearts.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private family service will be held on Monday, December 6th, 2021 from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com). Donations in memory of Marion may be made to the Gideon Bibles or a charity of the donors.
