1964-2022

It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Mr. Christopher “Chris”. Saunders, husband of Norma (Pitre) Saunders which occurred on Saturday January 8th, 2022 at his residence in Dunlop at the age of 57.

Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Charles Saunders and the late Judith (Nash) Saunders.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Molly Saunders of Fredericton and his son Robin Saunders of Beresford. His brother, Jonathan Saunders of Nacogdoches, Texas, USA. He also leaves to morn; nephews, Kyle, Roan and his niece Erin; as well as many cousins and his in-laws: Réginald (Bobbi) Pitre, Gilberte Pitre, Cyril Pitre, Denis Pitre, Josée Mercier, Milaine and Sarah.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Heritage Funeral Home in Beresford on Friday January 14th, 2022 from 7 to 9 p.m. Proof of two vaccinations, a government issued ID and wearing a face mask are mandatory to enter the funeral home.

In memory of Chris, donations maybe made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home in Beresford.
