Bathurst- It is with great sadness, we the family, announce the passing of Christine Wood of Bayview Court, Bathurst which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Monday July 11th, 2022, at the age of 53.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of Raymond and Mabel (Knowles) Stever.

She is survived by her husband Paul, parents and two children: Jarrett and Amanda of Bathurst.

One sister, Susan Stever of Bathurst as well as one niece, Morgan Wells and one nephew, Nick Wells.

She is also survived by her special mother-in-law, Aldra Carson. Sisters and Brothers-in-law: Kirk and Cindy Wood, son Andrew. Carolin Wood and John Cantin, children Allison and Alex.

Several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Christine graduated from the Bathurst School of Nursing in 1989 and was employed at the Chaleur Regional Hospital. She had a great passion for her family, pets and gardening.

The family would like to thank her co-workers and friends for the support given to Christine over the last several years.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Monday July 18th at 11 a.m. from the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.

Donations in memory of Christine may be made to the Bathurst Animal Shelter (SPCA) or a charity of the donor’s choice.
