It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our mother Victoire “Vicky” (Chamberlain) Hannan, which occurred peacefully surrounded by her children at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on Wednesday September 14, 2022, at the age of 96. She was the wife of late Gerald Hannan.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of late Raymond Chamberlain and Marie Vienneau.

She is survived by her children: Dorothy Boudreau (Michel), Wanda Hannan Levesque (Mike) of Beresford, Linda Chamberlain (Everett Melanson), Mary Farrell (Melvin), Gail Hannan (Gilles Couture), Marc (Lisa Vienneau) Hannan all of Bathurst, Joan Marquis (Glenn) of Montreal, Barbara Reardon (Eric), Sharon Gallant (Richard), Lorraine LeBlanc (Marc) all of Ontario.

20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren 1 great-great grandson.

One daughter in law Audrey Hannan, one sister Eleonard Hachey (late Adrien), two brothers: Gerard (Claudette) and Jerry (Claudette) as well many sisters and brothers in law.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, John and 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

She was an avid bowler, knitting club member, gave her time to the CNIB club, found time to cook, play dice with her girls and receive lots of company.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Donations in memory of Vicky may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

The family would like to thank Vienneau Residence staff where she resided for the past several years, as well as the hospital staff, especially Doreen and Joan in Palliative Care and Dr. Cauchon for their compassion care towards our mother.
