Bathurst - Luis Eduardo Molinares Maury, 85, of Côte Blue Drive, Bathurst and formerly of Colombia, passed away at his residence on Sunday October 2, 2022.

Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, he was the son of the late Pedro Molinares and Justa Maury.

He was the widow of Lesvia Sarmiento (Yaya).

He is survived by three children: Justy Molinares of Bathurst, Ladys Molinares (Barrios) of Colombia and Jose Luis Molinares of Beresford.

Five grandchildren (Jorge Luis, Katherine, Andrea, Angie and Isabella) and 2 great-grandchildren ( Luis Angel and Kamila)

Several nieces and nephews.

He was well know for his artistic talent in visual arts. His passion for the music and Barranquilla’s culture was the source of inspiration for creating his art work. Also for his social ability to easily connect to others.

There will be no visitations or funeral service. Donations in memory of Luis Eduardo may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Society.
