Moncton –It is with great sadness, that we the family announce the passing of Mrs. Jeannette Doucet, wife of the late Omer Doucet, formerly of Big River, passed away on Wednesday October 5, 2022 at Villa du Repos in Moncton, at the age of 89.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Daigle and the late Yvonne (Chamberlain) Daigle.

She is survived her children: Gilbert (Leah) of Bathurst, Eugene (Linda Chamberlain) of Corona, ON, Jean Claude of Bathurst, Sandra Doucet (Michel Duguay) of Moncton, and Sonia Doucet (Sose)of Germany.

12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and  1 great  great-grandchild. She also leaves her sisters: Dorothy (Harold Imhoff) of Petit-Rocher, Angela (Valmond Landry) of Beresford, Germaine Godin and Yolande Doucet, both of Bathurst and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by a son Gerald, a daughter, Joyce, a daughter in law, Adeline; brothers: Benoit, Alain, Lucien and Emile; sisters: Priscille and Emilia.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton Funeral Home on Wednesday October 12 between 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  funeral will be held at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St. in Bathurst. (www.elhatton.com)
