It is with gratitude and sorrow the family of Marion Ethel Ronalds announce her death which occurred on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Center, Baie Verte, N.L.

Born in Bathurst, NB she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Edna (Wiseman) Ronalds.

Marion graduated from Teacher’s College in 1947 and taught in the Bathurst area for five years. She then pursued a career in nursing and graduated from the Saint John General School of Nursing in 1954. She practiced nursing in several Canadian provinces finally making her home in Baie Verte, NL specializing in Public Health Care.

She belonged to Bethany United Church and served her church in very many ways. She became part of the fabric of the peninsula and was involved in several organizations. She loved that province and all that it included especially its warm and friendly people. Although she was very happy there, she made her yearly trips to NB to visit with family and friends. Marion dedicated her life to serving others with much love and care. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her very special friend and care giver, Peggy Tilly of Baie Verte, NL, sisters: Edith Clouston (Hugh) of Bathurst, Ivy Bujold (Edward) Fredericton, her brother-in-law, Evert Bos of Quispamsis and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her sisters: Wilma Simonsen, Joan Whalen, Jean Koch, Velma Bos and her brother Gordon Ronalds.

Her funeral was held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from Bethany United Church, Baie Verte. Interment was in Bethany United Church cemetery.
