It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the death of Stanley “Junior” Blanchard, who occurred peacefully at his residence on Friday December 9th, 2022 at the age of 81.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Stanley Sr. and Victoria Blanchard.

Besides the mother of his children, Marie-Mai Blanchard, he is survived by his three children: Lisa Duguay (Roland) of Beresford, France Blanchard (Robert Chiasson) of Allardville and Terry Blanchard (Jenna Martin) of Bathurst.

Grandchildren: Mathieu, Patrick, and Bianca and great-grandchildren: Maëva and Laila.

His sisters: Priscilla Frenette (late Lionel) of Beresford and Claudette Loupelle (Wayne) of Chestermere, Alberta and his brother, Gerald Blanchard (Yvonne) of Bathurst.

As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides his parents, Stanley is predeceased by seven brothers: Harvey, Kenneth, Wilfred, John, Arnold, Ernest and Lionel and three sisters: Priscilla (in infancy), Marguerite Cameron and Lorraine Arseneau.

Stanley worked as a prospector and in mining most of his life.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15TH at 2 p.m. at Holy Family Church.

Donations in memory of Stanley may be made to the local food bank or a charity of the donor’s choice.
