It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Raymond Sherrard husband to Glenda (Irvine) Sherrard which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023 at the age of 89.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late George and Gladys (Mullin) Sherrard.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons: Doug Sherrard of Big River, Todd (Karen) Sherrard of Bathurst, Stephen Sherrard of Big River, and one daughter, Krista (Aaron) Hayward of Nova Scotia.

Ten grandchildren: Mitchell, Jamie, Ali, Alyssa, Andy, Kurt, Keith, Ben, Layla and Faith and eight great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by sisters: Evelyn Colepaugh of Ontario, Freda (Arnie) Samms of Ontario, Addie (Irvine) McAllister of Boom Road, NB and half-sister, Carolyn (Adrian) Perkins of Bristol, NB and by brothers: Sherman (Alda) Sherrard of Sunny Corner, NB, Merlyn (Diane) Sherrard of Halcomb, NB, half-brother, Arnold (Gretta) Sherrard of Newfoundland.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers: Ralph, Charlie, Edmund, Burton, Carl, Neil and sisters: Mabel and Bertie.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held from Sacred Heart Cathedral cemetery in the spring.

Donations in memory of Raymond may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
