On February 3, 2023, at the age of 73, Roger Boudreau, passed away peacefully at his residence in Dieppe, NB, lovingly surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with Lewy body disease.
Born in Bathurst, NB, on August 30, 1949, he was the son of the late Laudez Boudreau and Thérèse Lagacé.
He is survived by his daughter Manon (Maurice Melanson) of Shediac, her mother, Simonne of Dieppe, his brothers Claude (Florence) of Robertville, Roland of Moncton, Michel (Hélène) of Robertville, Pierre (Donna) of Madran, Daniel of LaPlante, Clovis (Léa) of Sormany, his sisters Colette (Daniel Thériault) of Beresford, Nicole (Jean-Noël Lagacé) of Pointe-Verte, Marie-Claire (Gilles Godin) of Middle River, Jacinthe (Jean-Claude Haché) of North Tetagouche, Diane (Clétus Pitre) of North Tetagouche, Lise (Bruno LaPlante) of LaPlante and Lucie (Michel Robichaud) of Saint-Sauveur, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother François (2021).
The family is profoundly grateful to Dr. Marc-André LeBlond, Dr. Ludivine Witkowski and Dr. Anik Savoie for the compassionate and attentive care they provided to Roger, and to the many people who generously reached out and offered support in recent weeks. Your thoughtfulness has been remarkable.
Roger’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 7 at 2 p.m., at Elhatton’s Funeral Home in Bathurst.
In accordance with his final wishes, a true testament to his caring nature, Roger donated his body to the study of medicine.
In his memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated
