Canobie - Terence (Terry) Joseph Melanson, age 84, of Canobie, NB passed away on February 11, 2023 suddenly at home.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Aurele and Florida Melanson.

Terry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Arlene and two children: Wade Melanson of Canobie and Karen Bird (Sandy) of Fredericton and two grandchildren Gwyneth and Hayden Bird.

He is also survived by his siblings: Paul Melanson (Carol) of North Bay ON, Mike Melanson (Wanda) and Rita Weston of Fredericton, NB, Danny Melanson and Joan Melanson of Bathurst, NB, Betty Lavigne of Ottawa, ON, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Terry was predeceased by his sisters, Anita Leach and Evelyn Gallagher.

Terry was retired from the former Brunswick Mines and the former Knowles Brothers.

There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are for the support of our family and neighbors.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 28th at 2 p.m. at the Stonehaven Cemetery.

Donations in memory of Terry may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
