Bathurst – Juanita Lagacy of Chaleur St. passed away Monday, March 6th, 2023 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 73.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Vitaline (Cormier) Theriault.

She is survived by her son, Eric Lagacy (Sarah) of Middle River and four grandchildren: Bradley, Connor, Jordan and Harley Jane.

She also leaves behind her sisters: Lorraine Morneau (Normand) and Sandra MacKenzie (Richard) both of Bathurst, Sharon Lagacé (Aubrey Kearney) of Nigadoo and Claudette Roy (Laurent) of Robertville as well as brothers: Eldon Theriault (late Lucienne) of Bathurst, Nelson Theriault (Nicole) of LaPlante and Roger Theriault (Sheryl) of Leduc, AB.

Sister-in-law, Evelyn Theriault of Bathurst as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters: Rose-Marie, Betty-Ann, Jeannine and one brother, Omer.

The family would like to thank Dr. Cauchon, Dr. Ault and the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the care given to Juanita. They would also like to extend their thanks to the staff and personnel of the Vienneau Residence for their wonderful care.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Juanita may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice.
