It is with sadness that we the family announce the death of Ronald Paul Smith of Rosehill, NB., which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the age of 84.

Born in St. George, NB, he was the son of the late Walter Smith and Maude (Maillet) (Smith) Fraser.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Jeffery, sons: Michael Smith (Hilary) of Fredericton, NB and Rick Smith (Kim) of Orleans, ON.; daughters: Charlotte Smith of Richibucto, NB, Stephanie Smith of Rexton, NB., and Lisa Ferland (Ronald) of Chesterville, ON.

One sister; Janice DeLong (Aubrey) of Canterbury, NB., one brother, David Smith (Carol) of Edmonton, AB.,

Ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and the mother of his children, Lorette Smith of Richibucto, NB.

In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by a brother, Wallace Smith, sister-in-law, June Smith, and stepfather, Charles Fraser.

In keeping with Ron’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

For those who wish, donations made to the donor’s charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
