Bathurst - George Morris, of Youghall Dr., Bathurst, passed away at his residence on Tuesday October 10, 2023, at the age of 86.

Born in Aberdeen, Scottland, he was the son of the late George and Violet (Brown) Morris.

George retired from the QNS&L Railway in Sept-Îles, Quebec.

He is survived by his special friend and partner, Edith Branch of Bathurst.

His four children: Karen Morris (Lyle Sollows), Cindy Morris (Kevin Jones) and Kimberly Morris (late Hampton Wolfe) all of Sept Îles, QC and George Jr. (Tanya) of Victoria, BC.

Six grandchildren: Ryveann, Jacob, Kelsey, Jeremiah, Gavin and Dusty.

Great-grandchildren: Lea, Hayva, Emma, Haylie, Sophia, Peyton, Colbie, Kaleb and Blake.

Several nieces and nephews.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his wife, Garth (MacKay) Morris, great-grandson, Tate and a sister, Ruth.

There will be no visitations at the funeral home or funeral service. Donations in memory of George may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
