Salmon Beach - The family of Kevin Jagoe of Salmon Beach is saddened to announce his passing on November 20, 2023 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital following a brief illness.

Born in Bathurst, Kevin was the son of Brian Jagoe and the late Elsie Mae (Good) Jagoe of Salmon Beach.

Besides his father, Brian of Salmon Beach, Kevin is survived by his brother Darcy Jagoe of Dieppe, NB, several aunts, an uncle, and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother, Elsie Mae (Good) Jagoe in 2010 and his sister Kristine Margaret Jagoe of Halifax in 2021.

Following graduation from Bathurst High School, Kevin was employed with Sone-Consolidated Bathurst, the Bathurst Agricultural Society, and, until his death, he worked as a custodian for Anglophone School District North.

Kevin will be remembered by his family and numerous friends for his kind and generous heart, and willingness to help them with tasks and projects as he was able. In recent years, he was proud to assist at the Turkeytown MudBog event.

Kevin loved all things country and was affectionately known as “Tex” to friends. He enjoyed four-wheeling, hunting trips, gardening, and outdoor activities. Kevin was particularly fond of animals and was always delighted when asked to care for the pets of family and friends.

Kevin’s family wish to thank the many doctors who cared for him, and the staff of 2nd West for their care and compassion during Kevin’s final hospital stay.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kevin’s life at a gathering on Saturday, November 25th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm at the Janeville Fire Hall. A memorial service and burial will take place at a later date.

Donations in memory of Kevin may be made to the Bathurst SPCA, a cause dear to his heart, or other charities.
