It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Charles Lavigne husband to the late Linda Lavigne (Grant), who passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the age of 67.

He was the son to the late Dennis Lavigne and the late Aline Lavigne (Valcourt).

He is survived by is five children: Michel Lavigne (Lise), Jennifer Lavigne (Oscar), Angela Carrier (Christian), Andrea Leakey (Alan) and Diane Couture (Randy).

Eleven grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Four siblings: Denis Lavigne (Frida), Stephen Lavigne (Carol), Roland Lavigne (Susan) and David Lavigne (Diane).

Several nieces and nephews.

Charles was very positive, generous and a goofy man. He was always ready to say a joke and was the definition of the class clown. He was always ready to help where he could. He loved to spend time with his wife Linda, their pets and going fishing.

The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff on the fourth floor and the palliative care unit for all the care given to Charles.

There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held from Holy Family church on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11 a.m.

Donations in memory of Charles may be to the Heart and Stroke foundation, the Canadian Cancer society or Charlie’s Cat rescue.
