Bathurst, NB - Mrs. Leona Austin, 83, formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (July 8, 2010) at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, after a brief illness.

Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Dora (Landry) Arseneau.

She worked as a Hairdresser in Bathurst for many years and was a former member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Herman J. Good, V.C., Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.

Aurele Arseneau of Miramichi

4 grandchildren; Jody, Jeff, Elizabeth, Jamie, 6 great-grandchildren; Silver, Alex, Danielle, Christopher, Amber, Gabriel, several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  A Memorial service will be celebrated on Monday (August 2, 2010) at 2 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst, with a reception to follow the service.  Donations in memory of Leona, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
