Bathurst - Mrs. Evangeline Chamberlain, 68, wife of the late Alfred Chamberlain, of Bathurst, passed away peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, with her family at her side on Tuesday (August 17, 2010)  following a lengthy illness.  Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late George and Imelda (Godin) Legacy.

She is survived by:  two sons; Jean-Yves (Terra Dunn) of Big River, Vincent (Margaret) of North Carolina, USA.  8 grandchildren; Sasha Lynn, Samantha, Paul, Ethan, Josh, Vanessa, Austin and Kevin.  Three sisters; Patricia Hebert of Bathurst, Marguerite Duguay and Irene Vienneau (Gérard), both of Big River.  Two brothers; Eldon Legacy (Louisa) of Big River and Johnny Legacy of Fredericton.  Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a sister; Marie Doucet and a brother, Wilbert Lagacy.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (August 21, 2010) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.  Donations may be may to a charity of the donors choice.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
