Bathurst - John Ernest "Jack" McKinney, 88, formerly of King Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Friday (September 24, 2010) at the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit, Bathurst.
 
Born in Woodstock, NB, he was the son of the late Carey and Agnes (London) McKinney.
 
He served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada and overseas and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.  
He worked as a Geologist in Mining Exploration for most of his life and was a member of the First United Church, Bathurst.
 
Jack is survived by his wife, Mae (Arseneau) McKinney, One brother; Harold (Stephanie) of Burlington, Ont.
One niece; Louise and
One nephew; David both of Burlington, Ont.
Three great-nieces in Halifax.
 
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday (September 27, 2010) at 2 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Jack, may be made to a  charity of your choice.
