Bathurst - James Stephen Degrouchie, 41, of Raymond Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Monday (April 18, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. 

Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of Mary Eva Degrouchie of North Tetagouche.

He worked for a time in Kitchener, Ont., before returning to Bathurst.

Besides his mother, he is survived by:  One brother, David (Rachel) of Bathurst; One sister, Marian Anderson (Bill) of Black Point.  Several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Elhatton Funeral Home, (www.elhatton.com) 187 St. George St., Bathurst.  Funeral Service will be held on Thursday afternoon (April 21, 2011) at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.
