Sylvio Arseneau, 80, of Rough Waters Drive, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Augustin and Elizabeth (Ward) Arseneau.

Sylvio worked for Province of N.B. Provincial Highway until retirement in 1988.  He was a member of Herman J. Good VC Br 18, he served in Germany and Korea.

His wife Adrienne (Boucher) Arseneau died in 2008.

He is survived by one son, Richard (Donna) of Bathurst; three daughters, Wanda of Bathurst, Christine ''Tina'' (John Price) of London, Ont., Donna-Lee (Shawn Jagoe) of Milton Ont., four sisters, Anita Searle of Riverview, Florence Arseneau (Gerald), Marjorie Hachey (Gerard), Leona Dobson (late Charles) all of Bathurst.

10 grandchildren, Cassandra, Trina, Steven, Brandi, Brody, Sarah, Logan, Jack, Thabitha, Jamie.

4 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Declan, Benjamin and Isabella.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, June 27, 2011 at 11:00 am from Sacred Heart Cathedral, St-Andrew St., Bathurst.

In memory of Sylvio, a donation to The Canadian Cancer Society or The Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
