1957 - 2016

Bathurst - Mrs. Mary Martin, wife of Jim Martin, of Winton Cres. Bathurst, passed away at the age of 58, on Saturday April 16, 2016 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Melvina (Landry) McArdle.

She worked in the Cafeteria of Bathurst High School.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one son and one daughter:  Adam (Meredith Phillips) of Ottawa, Ont. and Kim Martin (Robin Mugridge) of Oromocto.  Five grandchildren:  Olivia, Layla, Ephram, Griffin and Agnes.

Eight sisters: Paula Riordon of Wellington, Ont., Nancy Martinez (Jorge) of Mexico, Barb Sweet (Charles), Lillian Boucher (Blair), Joan Pettigrew (Tommy), Charlene Thibideau and  Marina Dobson (Kenny) all of Bathurst and Elaine McArdle (Steve Kelland) of Ottawa, Ont.  Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by a sister, Janet.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 3 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
