1936 – 2016

Little River, Glou. Co., NB - Peter Scichilone of Little River, passed away on Tuesday June 21, 2016 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 79.

Born in Agrigento, Italy, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Rosalia (Alfeo) Scichilone.

Peter was the owner/operator of Peter’s Barber Shop in Bathurst for over 55 years.

He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (St. Laurent) Scichilone.

He is survived by three children: Pierre Scichilone (Nancy) of Prince George, BC, Anna Farmer (Vince) of Edmonton, AB and Maria Cole (Mark) of Little River.

Seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Two brothers: Tony Scichilone of Ottawa, ON and Domenic (Rosalie) Scichilone of Saint John.

Two sisters: Angelina Licata and Maria Minnella both of Italy.  Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife, he was predeceased by siblings: Anna Russo, Giovanni ``John`` and Joe Scichilone.

The body will rest after 7 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning June 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. 

Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. only. 

Donations in memory of Peter may be made to the Parkinson Society, the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation or a favorite charity.
