1940 – 2016

Bathurst - Ronald MacMillan, 76, of Highland Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Friday September 2, 2016, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Chatham, he was the son of the late Wilson and Bernadine (Skidd) MacMillan.

Ron was a retired Vice Principal at Bathurst High School, member of the NBRTA and former branch director of NBTA Br. 1542.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his dogs and music.

Besides his wife, Gail (Fowlie) MacMillan, he is survived by three children: Carol MacMillan and Steven MacMillan (Michele McCormick) both of Halifax and Joan MacMillan (Wayne Lord) of Bathurst.  Two grandchildren, Daniel and Katie.

Two sisters:  Anne MacMillan of Fredericton and Judy Savoie (Guy) of Fairisle, NB.  Two nephews.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2016 from Church of St. George, Covedell, NB.  Donations in memory of Ron may be made to a charity of the donors choice.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
