It is with sadness that we announce the death of Ruth after a brief illness on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the age of 67. Formerly of Bathurst, Ruth retired from Environment Canada in Ottawa after many years of service. She was predeceased by her parents Reda Awad and Tony (A.J.) Assaff. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Denise and grandchildren Evan and Clara of Ottawa. She will be forever cherished by her living sisters and brothers, namely Marie and Georgette Assaff of Bathurst, Donald (Murielle) and George (Suzanne) Assaff of Ottawa, and Paul Assaff of Saint John, N.B.  As well as sisters-in-law Teresa and Cecelia Assaff, cousin Barbara Jabora and numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by sister Joanne and five brothers John, Antoine Jr. Raymond, Robert and Michael.

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Saturday July 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst, N.B.
