It is with heavy hearts that family of Chester LaPointe announce his sudden passing on March 28, 2019 at the age of 49 in Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba.
Raised in Jacquet River, Chester was the son of Chester LaPointe and the late Kathleen (Pitre) LaPointe. At the time of his passing he was living in Bathurst.
Besides his father of Jacquet River, he is survived by his loving spouse Shelley, two children: Dominic LaPointe of Bathurst and Rhianna LaPointe of Belledune.
He is also survived by his siblings: Linda Devereaux (Robert) of Brampton, ON, Daren (Vera) of Jacquet River, and Lisa LaPointe (David Jalbert) of Moncton.
Several nieces and nephews.
Chester also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, Michael.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst after 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 15th, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Donations in memory of Chester may be made to the I.W.K Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
