Salmon Beach - Mrs. Mazie Sealy-Silver, of Salmon Beach, passed away Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Canobie, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Harmonie (Wood) Black.
Mazie is survived by one son, Roger (Germaine) of Hillsborough, NB.
Three daughters: Patricia Branch (Kevin) of Nepisiguit Falls, Betty Taylor (Clive) of Bathurst and Elda O’Neil (Ian) of Salmon Beach.
Seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Two sisters: Elda Chevalier (Mike) of Big River and Charlotte Pitre of Ottawa, ON.
Three stepchildren: Mark Silver (Nisha) of Bathurst, Philip Silver (Karen) of Midland, ON and Sherry Morrison (Keith) of Truro, NS. Three step-grandchildren.
Several nieces and nephews.
Besides her first husband, Stanley Sealy and her second husband, Douglas Silver she was predeceased by a son, Clarence and a sister, Marjorie.
Mazie worked at the former Coffee Mill and the Skillet at Zellers and at Portage Lake Camps.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
Donations in memory of Mazie can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the 4th floor West and the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for the care given to Mazie. A special thank you to her caregivers, Rachelle and Lorna.
