It is with great sadness, the family of Orin Jagoe, 85 of Coffyn Crescent, Bathurst, announces his peaceful passing on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Canobie, he was the youngest son of the late Stuart J. and Audrey E. (Scott) Jagoe.
Throughout his working years, Orin drove tractor trailer, and could talk for hours about anything mechanical, which brought him great joy.
Orin was an avid woodsman and enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and being with his wife Shirley. He was an exceptional role model as a father, husband, grandfather, and uncle. He always made sure his family was taken care of.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Hornibrook Jagoe.
Two daughters: Edith Jagoe and Ellen (Shawn) Lee both of Bathurst.
Special daughters: Shirley Peters (Tommy Duguay) of Bathurst and Tammy Gallant (Frank) of Dartmouth, N.S.
Two stepdaughters: Holly Burke (Gary) of Charlottetown, P.E.I. and Lynn Hodnett (Andy) of Bathurst.
Two stepsons: Tim Hornibrook (Madelaine) of Bathurst and Mitchell Hornibrook of Moncton.
Thirteen grandchildren: Jason, Jenna, Shawn, Colton, Chris, Jason, Shannon, Megan, Brandon, Adam, Kyle and Jena.
21 great-grandchildren.
One brother: Arthur Jagoe (Eileen) of Bathurst.
One sister: Verda Logan (Russell) of Dundee, Cape Breton, N.S.
Many nieces and nephews, several sister and brother-in-laws.
He was predeceased by his first wife Ella Peters, children, Owen and Candy.
Sisters: Mina Graham, Sadie Cormier, and Laura Branch and a brother, Cleveland Jagoe.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Alban’s Anglican Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) , Bathurst, NB. The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Wade and the Extra-Mural nurses for their outstanding care of Orin during his illness
