It is with great sadness that the passing of Joyce Margaret (Good) Carmichael, of Manor Ave, Bathurst, is announced by her family. She passed away at Chaleur Regional Hospital on Tuesday November 17, 2020, surrounded by her family. Joyce was 93 and was the daughter of the late Hubert Good and the late Marguerite (Smearer) Good.

Joyce was the loving wife of the late Robert “Bert” Carmichael and they were married for 63 years. 

Joyce was a busy lady looking after her family. She loved to cook, bake, sew, knit, crochet, making quilts and many other activities that kept her occupied. Joyce loved her time spent with her family and catered to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. 

Joyce was loved and respected by all her family and friends. She was a great lady who instilled great values in her family.   

Joyce was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert “Bert” Carmichael Sr; her son, Robert Carmichael Jr and her grandson, Todd Branch; her brothers, Sterling Good (Fern) and Milton Good and her sister, Valley Good Bell (Roy). 

Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters: Carol Branch (David), Donna Pettigrew (Gerald), Linda Young (Bill) and Dale McGrath (Leonard); her sisters: Mary Jean Good Black (Frank) and Shirley Good Jardine (Everett); and her brother, Robert Good (Lorraine); her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and all other family members and friends. 

The family invite you to a public visitation on Friday November 20, 2020 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Due to the current pandemic, a Funeral Service will be held by invitation only from the First United Church, Bathurst on Saturday November 21, 2020.
