Salmon Beach - Donald "Donnie" King, 80, of Salmon Beach, passed away on Thursday December 3, 2020 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Toronto, ON, he was the son of the late Edwin and Jessie (Mitchell) King. 

He served with the Royal Canadian Navy for 3 years and later worked for Roger's Moving Company in Toronto before retiring to Salmon Beach. 

Besides his wife, Frances (Russell) King, he is survived by three children: Ed King (Marna Ward), Debbie Cullusci (Sylvio) and Cheryl Ludgate (Bill) all of Toronto, ON. 

Five grandchildren: Adam, Luke, Ashley, Sarah and Tyler.

One brother, David King (Allison) of Toronto, ON.  Five sisters: Joyce Lavigne (Arnold) of Salmon Beach, 

Joanne Briggs (Rick) of New Market, ON, Gloria LaLand (Greg) and Carol Little both of Scarborough, ON and Cathy (Dave Winnington) of Fenelon Falls, ON. 

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by a brother, Lorne "Butchie", sisters: Marion Kirby, Shirley Maroney, Lorna Cook and a nephew, Robert. 

The family would like to thank the Extra Mural Program for all the help given to Donnie during his illness. 

A celebration of life will be held Saturday August 7th, 2021 between 2-4 p.m. at the Janeville Fire Hall.  Donations in memory of Donnie may be made to the Extra Mural Program, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
