It is with great sadness the family of Leonard Vienneau, 68, husband of Gail (Arseneault) of Beresford, announces his passing on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst after a courageous battle with cancer.  

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Warré and Anita (Bertin) Vienneau. 

He is survived by his children: Jennifer DeGrace (Christian) of Dunlop, Gerry Vienneau (Sophie) and Melissa Lavigne (Keith) both of Beresford. 

Four grandchildren: Nathan, Meagan, Lucas and Alyssa.  

He is also survived by his brothers: Ronald Vienneau (Jeannine) of Bathurst, Robert Vienneau (Nicole), Michel Vienneau (Diane) both of Petit-Rocher, and by his sisters: Rose-Marie Frenette (Charles), Chantale Babin (Mike) both of Beresford and Suzanne Roy of Moncton. 

Several nieces and nephews.  

He was predeceased by his brothers: Gérald and Armand. 

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the palliative care unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital for their wonderful care. A special thank you to René for the excellent care given to our father at home over the past two years.   

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday December 29th, 2020 from Holy Rosary Church, Bathurst. Due Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral will be held by invitation only.  

Donations in memory of Leonard may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
