Salmon Beach - Mrs. Cora Smith, wife of the late Walter A. Smith, of Salmon Beach, passed away on Saturday September 11, 2021, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 94.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Reginald and Ida (Smith) Smith.

Cora was retired custodian from the former Salmon Beach School.

She is survived by three sons:  Clayton Smith (Ann) and Wayne Smith (Karla) both of Salmon Beach and Nelson Smith (Michelle Marquis) of Miramichi.

Two daughters:  Ida Dean (late Leslie) of Coburg, ON and Wanda Strickland (Raymond) of Hanover, ON.

Eighteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

One brother, Sydney Smith (Wanda Knowles) of Brampton, ON.

Two sisters:  Jessie Williston (Floyd) of Saint John and Eva Murphy of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by two sons, Sheldon and Byron, a daughter, Audrey and several brothers and sisters.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday September 15, 2021, at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.
