Bathurst - Mrs. Mary Yvonne "Bunny" Elhatton, 89, wife of the late Hugh "Buster" Elhatton, formerly of Tremblay Court, Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday January 25, 2022, at the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit, Bathurst.

Born in Chatham, she was the daughter of the late Arthur M. and Blanche (Costley) Maher.

Bunny was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Women's League, Bathurst.

She is survived by one son, Shawn Elhatton of New Maryland and Bathurst.

Daughter-in-law, Cathy White of Moncton.

Four grandchildren: Evan, Kyle, Jonathan, Sarah and one great-grandson, Wyatt.

Several nieces and nephews, all of which will miss her dearly.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was pre-deceased by two sons: Jonathan, Peter, two sisters: Gertrude, Margaret and a brother, Edward "Neddy".

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elhatton Funeral Home on Wednesday May 10th, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and from noon Thursday, May 11th until the time of the funeral, which will be held at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church.

Donations in memory of Bunny may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation, the Robert L. Knowles Veterans Unit or a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
