With profound sadness, we the family wish to announce the peaceful passing of Isabelle "Bella" White on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at Chaleur Reginal Hospital Bathurst following a brief illness.

Born in Bathurst, she was the wife of the late Bernie White Jr and the daughter of the late Leo W. Aube and the late Lea Aube.

Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Isabelle is survived by daughter Christine (Brian), son Peter (Carole), grandson Adam (Heather), granddaughter Janna (Mitch) and her very special great grandchildren Alexa, Drew, Kate and Amelia. She is also survived by sisters Carmel (Patrick) and Jeannine (late Valmond) and also many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by grandson Bradley Chamberlain, brother Donald Aube and sister Mabel Moore.

Isabelle graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University in 1950 with a Bachelors degree in Education. She taught in various Bathurst schools before retiring from Bathurst High School in 1980.

She was fondly contacted and remembered by many of her students long after her retirement.

Isabelle was a 50+years member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral CWL, of which she was a founding member. She was also a member of the Bathurst Curling Club and the Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club. Isabelle especially loved to golf and she often said that Gowan Brae was one of her favorite places.

The family wishes to extend thank you and deep appreciation of the wonderful care giving to our mother by the staff of 4East and the Palliative Care Units at CRH.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service for Isabelle will be held on Wednesday, April 6th, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com).  Please note, masks are required to attend the service.
