It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Donald Joseph Hudon, son of the late Theofred and Violet (Gray) Hudon, who passed away peacefully on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst. He would have been 82 on August 13, 2022.

Donald is survived by his wife Lois (Geldart) Hudon, his daughters, Darlene Burns (David), Brenda Spragg and Tammy Hudon (Derek). He was a loving Grampie to Avery, Shane, Sierra, Aidan and MacKenzie.

He leaves behind siblings: Eleanor, Fred, Oscar, Marie, Lillian, Ann and sister-in-law Maire Bertin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by siblings Romeo, Isabelle, Noella, William, Carmela and Evangeline.

The family would like to thank Dr. J.P. Arseneau, Ambulance NB paramedics and the medical staff of the Emergency and ICU Departments that cared for him. Special thanks to the Extra-Mural, especially Laura for her wonderful care and support. Laura was the only one who could put Donald in his place.

The family would also like to thank Blair Spragg, Daniel and Jill Stackhouse and Flora and John McLean for their kindness shown to our family.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday morning, August 18th at 11 am from Elhatton Funeral Chapel.

Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation (N.B. Chapter) or a charity of the donor’s choice.
