It is with broken hearts, that we, the family announce the sudden passing of Jason John Kennedy, of Bathurst which occurred Friday June 2nd, 2023, at the age of 33.

Born in Bathurst, he was son of Karen Kennedy and the late Bryan Kennedy.

He leaves behind his partner, Sam Vienneau, his daughter, Heidi, two stepchildren, Hunter and Chase and a baby on the way.

He was a loving and goofy uncle Jay to his two nieces, Korie and Brooklyn. Uncle Jay could always be counted on for a laugh or even a tea party when his nieces asked.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his sister, Cheryl (Tommy) Jamieson of Bathurst, grandparents, Claudette and Stewart McConnell of Bathurst and Eva Kennedy of Fredericton. As well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind and will be dearly missed by his dachshund, Penny girl.

In his spare time, Jay could be found jamming with his friends to any type of music, driving around, playing his guitar or busting out his best puns. He always thought his jokes were the best and in truth he was a master at making everyone laugh and smile when he was around.

A passionate and talented welder, he took pride in every job that he did. His hard work and dedication to the field earned him the respect of many people he worked with throughout the years.

Jason had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone in need. His kind and thoughtful nature will be missed by all he touched.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, June 6th from 7-9 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will held on Wednesday June 7th at 2 p.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel. (www.elhatton.com)
