It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the death of Douglas (Doug) Ross Jackson of

Beresford, New Brunswick, who passed away on June 6 2023, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 84.

Doug was born in South Grimbsy, Ontario to the late Ross Jackson and Betty (Booker) Jackson.

Doug’s life took him on various paths including electrician, ski instructor, B&B owner, security guard but the highlight of his working life was the 15 years spent in the CanadianAir Force where he rose to the rank of Captain and served as a navigator on the VooDoos both here in Canada as well as in Europe.

After venturing to New Brunswick to embark on a new chapter of his life he is survived by Michèla Aubé of Beresford. Their bond brought him joy and companionship during his later years.

In addition to Michèla, Doug is survived by his two sons Aaron (Kelly) Jackson of British Columbia and Shawn Jackson, as well as Michèla’s children Claude (Diane) Roy and Sylvie (Chris) Roy. He also leaves behind a granddaughter Briane Jackson and a sister Barb (D’Arcy) Parker.

As per Doug’s wishes there will no visitation or funeral service but there will be a graveside ceremony on June 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the cemetery of Saint-Nom-de-Jésus in Beresford.
