Bathurst - Mrs. Simonne Christie, 88, wife of the late Clifford Christie, of Bridge St., and formerly of St. Peter Ave, passed away at her residence on Thursday (October 19, 2006), after a courageous fight with several illness. Born in Sherbrooke, Que., she was the only child the late Alfred and Louise (Haché) Noël She worked for many years as a Customer Service Representative at Sears in Bathurst. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Clifford, in 1993. She is survived by: One daughter: Anne-Marie Gammon (Greg) of Bathurst. One son: Gerald Christie (Linda) of Fort McMurray, AB Three step-brothers: Denis Larocque, Blaise Larocque and Florent Larocque of Cap Bateau, NB Two step-sisters: Jacqueline Larocque of Venezuela Raymonde Larocque of Ottawa, ON 4 grandchildren; Philip, Jonathan, Philip and Sheila, several step-nieces and step-nephews. Pre-deceased by one step-brother, Achille, and an step-sisters; Rita and Gabrille. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday (October 23, 2006) at 4:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church (Eglise Notre Dame du Rosaire), St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from noon until time of Funeral.
