Wallace Devereaux, 50, of Beauport, Qc and formerly of East Bathurst, died Friday (November 24, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Mrs. Délia (Chamberlain) Devereaux and the late John Devereaux. He worked in construction. He is survived by his mother of Bathurst. One son; Joel (Sophie) of Bathurst. One daughter; Lisa Prisk. Three sisters; Stella Thériault (Aurèle), Evangéline Cormier (David) and Evelyn Roy (Edgar) all of Bathust. Two brothers; Lawrence Devereaux (Rose) and Patrick Devereaux (Sandy) both of Bathurst. Two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister; Albina. The body will be rest at 2:00 pm Monday (November 27, 2006) at the Elhatton Funeral Home, St.George, Bathurst (www.elhatton.com). Funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday morning (November 28, 2006) at 11:00 am from the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, St.Mary Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, Tuesday 9:00 until time of the funeral.
